Hi I'm Carlie

I'm a student at Brigham Young University studying Political Science and Chinese, and I love to dance. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to travel and experience new things, so I'm studying Chinese and Political Science with an International emphasis. I´m currently taking a break from school to serve a mission in Taipei, Taiwan. I'm planning to backpack across Taiwan soon, and hopefully also visit China. I love to learn and read. I'm also always up for a good movie.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church, but I had questions and doubts about it. I had to test if I truly believed what I lived. The result was that I found happiness and peace in the way I live. I still have questions and times of doubt, but I have the faith that I will receive answers.

How I live my faith

For me, being a Mormon is a lifestyle. It's a part of everything I do. It forms the center of my life, so I can have a balanced and healthy life. Being a Mormon is an identity that I can take with me in everything I do. When I'm dancing, singing, performing, or even just hanging out with friends, I have a surety in myself because I am a Mormon.

What is the Law of Chastity?

We have a Creator who created our spirits. He created the earth FOR US. He created the opportunity for us to have bodies, to experience...well, life. Creation is in large part how we identify God. We also have that divine gift. We have all been given the ability and desire to create, and it is sacred. The Law of Chastity protects this sacred gift and if we choose to follow it, allows us to use this sacred gift wisely and in the right way. Show more Show less
