Hi I'm Kim

I'm a mid-20s girl, living it up! I'm an actuarial analyst. I'm a student. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I great up in Arizona. Second oldest of five children. I love my job as a high school math teacher. I like hiking, cooking/baking, swimming, golfing, going to the lake, and pretty much anything that involves socializing with people. My least favorite task in life: doing the dishes.

Why I am a Mormon

I’m Mormon because I feel good when I go to church and pray and apply the principles the prophets talk about. I have seen and felt that direct blessings come from it. At times, I’ve prayed to know if certain things were correct ie, Book of Mormon, Joseph Smith, other prophets and I’ve felt that they are. I’ve prayed to know if God was there for me and if he loved me. I’ve gotten so many answers over the years that have lead me to believe it’s true. It’s only a matter of seeking and asking. While sometimes it’s not easy to wait for answers, they come eventually. I grew up in the church, but now, because I've gotten those answers for myself, I have a strong conviction they are true principles.

How I live my faith

Between finishing school, working, and trying to keep a small social life, I feel pretty busy. So I have to really work hard to keep a half hour in the morning set aside as a time when I can say my prayers and read my scriptures. On days where I miss it, you can find me reading them late at night, in bed, trying not to fall asleep …I think we all have those days. I notice when I take that time, my day goes smoother. I remember my own self-value, and that of others, more because I had time to talk with God and feel connected to him. I see his hand more as I go throughout the day. I remember what things are important and not just whatever is most pressing on my agenda that day. Then I just get out there, do what’s got to be done, and try to have a good time doing it. If we’re listening to the spirit-the feelings we get from God- things will turn out all right because we're being lead by someone who loves us. WWJD, right?
