Hi I'm Skyler

I'm a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to have fun. I like any kind of boarding: skateboarding, snowboarding, wakeboarding, and longboarding. I love music. In sixth grade I started playing the trumpet and I starting singing in choir my junior year of high school. I also play the ukulele and guitar. Jazz and reggae are definitely my favorite genres of music. I also love alternative rock. I'm currently serving a mission in the Massachusetts Boston Mission, Portuguese speaking.

Why I am a Mormon

Families are so important to me and because of this gospel I know that I will be able to be with them forever. I love how much support is given by this church. Everyone in the church a big family and they are all ready to help anytime. It is so wonderful. There is something truly special here. What fuels this? I know that it is our Savior, Jesus Christ. Through living His gospel, we are transformed into His disciples. This brings the greatest joy into my life: peace and knowledge that I have a Father in Heaven that loves me and has a specific plan for me. I know this all because I have felt the Holy Ghost testify to me many times of the truthfulness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I can't deny that when I live it, I feel more whole and at peace.

How I live my faith

I love the scriptures. The Book of Mormon makes my day so much better when I read it in the morning. I love the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I've done family history work for my ancestors. I set goals to try to become more like Jesus Christ every day. I've been an 11 year-old scout leader and webelos scout leader before my mission. I know that the church programs prepare youth to be better and serve the Lord.
