Hi I'm Branden

I'm a missionary from Idaho serving in the Hawaii Honolulu Mission and I'm a mormon.

About Me

I enjoy a variety of things. I grew up in a small town in Idaho so I learned to be skilled at a number of hobbies. Outdoor sports. I love hunting, fishing, and riding my trials motorcycle. Growing up, my Grandpa taught me how to fish. I love just going fishing right after work or right after school. Whitewater rafting is another thing I enjoy doing. My family and I go rafting every year. As far as motorcylces go, I love trials riding. It's an intense sport that is still safe. Going with my cousin down to Nevada is one of the funnest times I've had doing some trials riding. Auright! I also enjoy musical instruments. I learned how to play the piano when I was young, but I gave that up in high school for guitar. Now that I've been on my misison I've learned a lot on the ukulele. I love playing country music. I went to a year of college before going on my misison. I love college, I have choke friends back in Idaho. I now am on my misison for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Sains. I absolutlely love the mission and serving the people here. One interesting thing about me is I have six brothers and sisters, two of them are married, and I have a niece and two nephews.

Why I am a Mormon

In essence, I grew up in the church, but I still had a choice to follow the Savior in my life. The big "moment" of my conversion came when I was in my young teenage years. A lot was going on around me, including peer pressure. I slipped off the path a little at that time and I noticed that I wasn't as happy as I wanted to be. Well I took the initiative to get down on my knees and plead to God to know if he was there. I prayed and prayed and recieved a witness that he was there and not only that but also He was my Father in Heaven and He had a plan for me. By living the gospel throughout my life I've been blessed in so many ways. The biggest blessing I've seen come is I had the chance to go on a mission for the Savior to spread His gospel.

How I live my faith

The way I live my faith is my active duty in missionary work. A lot of people think of missionaries just knocking on doors and eating dinners at members houses. Well, it's much more than that. I teach the people the gospel and if they exercise their agency to follow the Savior and live the gospel I get to see the gospel change that person's life. It's a great blessing to see how the gospel can help others as I reach out to them the way the Savior would reach out to them in love.
