Hi I'm Steve
I'm a Mormon.
I'm a 50 something father of four. I'm happily married. I'm coming up on my 25th year anniversary. I'm an avid golfer and a sports enthusiast. I love to travel with my wife and children. I'm an executive with a small business. I am also a CPA.
Why I am a Mormon
I am a Mormon because it is the Church of Jesus Christ on the earth today. I believe that salvation comes of Jesus Christ. I believe that faith in Jesus Christ is essential for true happiness in this life or in the hereafter. I believe a better understanding of Jesus Christ comes through studying both the Bible and the Book of Mormon. The Book of Mormon testifies of Jesus Christ. I belive it contains the word of God. I believe that to truely follow Jesus Christ one must be born of the water and the spirit. I believe these saving ordinances are only found in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
How I live my faith
My faith is part of my life. I try to live the golden rule to do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Consequently I try to treat employees and friends with respect and consideration. I appreciate that many of my employees consistently go above and beyond what is expected to them. I have several great friends that I have had for many years. We go camping with two separate groups each year unless emergencies arise. Over the years I've been active with the Kiwanis club, the Verdugo Hills Council of the Boy Scouts of America and other non-profit groups. I currently work with the full time missionaries in the San Gabriel area of Los Angeles with its headquarters in Arcadia. I also visit 4 families in our congregation with my son each month to see how they're they're doing and to leave a short spiritual message.
