Hi I'm Marilyn

I'm the mother of 7 children. I have traveled around the world with my husband. I love music. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Idaho but have moved all over the world with my husband and our 7 children. We have loved meeting members of our same faith all over the world and have felt that we instantly have "family" wherever we go. I love to sew, cook and play games with my family. I am the happiest when we are all together.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a Mormon family. My ancestors for a very long way were devout members of this church. They sacrificed a lot to come to America to worship and mingle with other baptized members of the LDS church. I am grateful for their commitment and sacrifice. I love my Savior, Jesus Christ, and am so grateful He has established His church here on the earth once again. The gospel has given us a standard to live by as a family. My children don't have to question if what the world is teaching them is appropriate or not. They can know for themselves by listening to a living prophet who guides our church and speaks to Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

I have the great opportunity to work with the youth in our church. They are amazing and I love them. I try to plan activities during the week that will help them draw closer to our Savior and I get to teach them lessons on Sunday. They work very hard to live the standards they have been taught among peers who sometimes criticize or tease them.

How are the activities of the Mormon missionaries funded?

Marilyn
We have had four of our children choose to serve missions so far. Each one of them has worked hard before their missions to earn as much money as possible. We as parents have helped to supplement the rest. It is a great sacrifice for these young kids to not only give up 2 years of their lives, but also to help finance it out of their personal money. But the blessings far outweight the sacrifices. They realize that they are willing to sacrifice everything they have to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with others and to see lives change for the better. Show more Show less
