Hi I'm Monita

I grew up in California. I love my life. I love my children. I love The Savior. I am a Christian. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a recently divorced mom of 16 beautiful children and grammie to 13 adorable grandchildren. I love gardening, reading, spending time with my children and studying the Scriptures.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church but it wasn't until I was older that I came to truly appreciate the gospel and find a testimony of my own. As a teen ager I made sure I had my fun and I didn't think I was hurting anyone, including myself. However, once I grew up and saw where some of those decisions had gotten me and how they affected my children as well, I realized that I needed to embrace with full force, what I knew to be true. I am a Mormon because I know in my heart that the gospel is true. The joy that the gospel brings in to my life is beyond belief and the blessings that the gospel has brought in to my life and will bring in to my life are beyond measure. I have seen mighty miracles happen in my life and in the lives of my children. I know the gospel is true. I have read the Book of Mormon for myself and I have prayed that I may know the truth for myself. The gospel is true. The Book of Mormon is another testament to the life and teachings of Jesus Christ. I am so very thankful for Jesus Christ and for His loving atoning sacrifice. I know that Joseph Smith was and is a true Prophet of God and that we have a living Prophet on this earth today, Thomas S. Monson. I invite you to read the Book of Mormon for yourself so that you, too, may have such abounding joy in your life.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith by being an example of it to others. I am the single adult chairman for my area and that is such an amazing calling. I get to interact on a regular basis with other singles living within my area. We have monthly dances and potlucks as well as many other fun activities designed to bring members together in friendship. I want people who know that I am a Mormon to see good in all I do.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

We do not worship Joseph Smith. We worship God our Eternal Father and His son, Jesus Christ. We do respect and revere Joseph Smith for being an instrument in the hands of the Almighty in the restoration of ancient truths of the divine gospel of Jesus Christ. We recognize him as a living Prophet upon the earth. Show more Show less
