Hi I'm Ken

I'm a businessman turned university business instructor and administrator. And a dad...

About Me

I am a college administrator. I love working with young men and women -- the future leaders. I was in business for almost 30 years before coming to this university. I am married and have 5 children and 5 grandsons. I speak and read English and Japanese. I love to do family history.

Why I am a Mormon

I read the Book of Mormon. I continue to read the Book of Mormon. When I read the Book of Mormon, I feel that the stories really happened - that the people whose stories are contained in the Book of Mormon really lived. I first felt this when I read about Captain Moroni, a military leader who lived prior to the coming of Christ see Alma 4812-16. I've felt it over and over again. It is true. And because it is true, it means that the person who helped bring this truth to light - Joseph Smith - was a prophet of God, and that the church Joseph Smith helped to establish - The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints - is Christ's church.

How I live my faith

Like many other Mormons, I do the basics - I read the Book of Mormon every day. - I pray every day. - I fulfill my assigned responsibilities at church. and so on... But let me share a more compelling manifestation of my faith. One of my colleagues at work started this practice we call "Thankful Thursdays." Once a week, a group of us share the things we are thankful for. I have found that a regular exercise of expressing gratitude has turned into a deeply spiritual experience. It helps me remember how much my Heavenly Father has blessed me.
