Hi I'm Jeanette

I'm a military wife, mother of four, and a college student! And I am a Mormon.

About Me

Now that my children are all in school during the day, I have returned to college as a full time student, in pursuit of a political science degree. I've discovered that constant learning is so fulfilling and good for my soul. I am more happy when my mind is engaged and growing!.

Why I am a Mormon

Recognizing my role in this world as a daughter of God allows me to have a positive eternal influence. I can't shake the feeling that life is meant to test our willingness to serve our fellow man. Getting an "A" on this test means I must spend time doing things that matter the most. God wants his children to be happy and He wants me to help his children be happy. That's why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I try every day to be better than I was the day before. Currently I am heavily involved with educational pursuits for myself and my children. I'm preparing my children to give back to the community one day. I support my husband's career in the military. Every day brings a new challenge and I try to look at this as a test I have to pass with an "A".

Does The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints endorse political parties?

The Church of Jesus Christ does not endorse any political party. Indeed our twelfth article of faith states: We believe in being subject to kings, presidents, rulers, and magistrates, in obeying, honoring, and sustaining the law. There is no mention or expectation to belong to any political party in our church doctrine. However, there is an expectation that we participate in political, governmental and community affairs and exercise our basic civic duty by voting our conscience. Show more Show less
