Hi I'm Emily

I'm a stay-at-home, homeschooling, Arizonan mother of 6 and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hello friends! I have been a member of the Church since birth. I love reading, chocolate, and being with my husband and children. I started homechooling in 2010 and it's been a fun time yet a very challenging time. I absolutely love having my children home with me to read and learn about the Gospel and the world. There are Gospel principles in every subject we're finding. I like to exercise with my huband and compete in races/triathlons. I love cooking, quilting, and being outside. I am a nurse but quit to stay home with my children. I love to answer questions about labor and delivery and talk pregnancy. I served a Church mission to Budapest Hungary, love to travel, and love road trips.

Why I am a Mormon

Well, I guess the easy answer is I'm Mormon because I was born to two Mormons. I saw the happiness, dedication, and faith of my parents and from an early age felt God's love for me. My testimony of the Restored Gospel has been strengthen over time as I've studied, prayed and pondered the Book of Mormon. I know God knows me. When I was 14 I felt His love and words pour from the Book of Mormon. That book has been an anchor in my life. I have felt His love so strong as I listen to the living prophet. I am so very thankful for my Savior, and friend who really loves me and really wants me to follow His perfect example. I know Joseph Smith was the chosen prophet to restore the Church. His sacrifice and faith are so inspiring. I've chosen to be a member of the Church because I truly believe in the Plan of Salvation that Heavenly Father has for families. I love my sweetheart so very dearly and I love my children so very much. I know that through the Plan we can be together forever, and share our love in the eternities. The Gospel brings so much joy and happiness to me and my family. So many people spend their whole lives trying to find joy. Only through Jesus Christ can we find the peace, happiness, and love Heavnly Father has for us.

How I live my faith

I try to be a good neighbor and build a sense of community. I love to make and give away bread. Being a good friend and neighbor is the best way to live my Faith. Too often the world focuses on differences and much more good can be done when we rejoice in our similarities and build each other up. We live our Faith in our home by daily family prayer, scripture study, and lots of family activities. Our Faith is best practiced as a family, as we live, love, and help each other.
