Hi I'm Allyson

I am a wife and mother of 5 children. I am also a grandma, which is the most fun of all. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of 5 wonderful children. The youngest is still at home. I have two grandchildren that live across the country from me. I love it when we are able to spend time together. I enjoy scrapbooking, tole painting, sewing, reading good books and listening to beautiful music. There is nothing I enjoy more than spending time with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I have read the Book of Mormon (many times) and have prayed about it to know if it really is true, and that prayer has been answered. It is true! I know the true Gospel of Jesus Christ was restored through the prophet Joseph Smith and I know that we have a living prophet and apostles on the earth today to lead and guide us. I cannot imagine my life without this true and living Gospel. I know my Savior atoned for my sins, and that he died so I might live again. I try to live as He would have me do, so that I do not take His sacrifice for granted. This church is HIs church. I am grateful to be a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I get to work with the women in my church. It is wonderful to get to know them all and find ways to help and serve them. We learn from each other, young and old. It is a blessing to know and work with my "sisters" in the Gospel. We do service projects for our community and we learn ways to organize our homes, raise our children, and prepare for the future. We share our talents with each other and I am always learning new things. As I go out into the world each day, I try to emulate our Savior's love with those people I associate with. I try to be cheerful and helpful and be a positive influence to those around me. There are many times when I don't do as well as I should, but I know my Savior is there for me and that I can try again to do better. There is always hope when one has faith in Jesus Christ and I want those around me to know that even when times are hard, we have a Savior that we can rely on and He will help us through anything.
