Hi I'm Rod

I am Rod and I am an Architecture Student. . .I Conceptualize, Plan and Design.

About Me

Hi! you can call me Rod, I am a member of the Church since I was very young, my Dad was the first member in our family and was baptized on Dec 1991 then followed by my Mom on Feb 1992. I was born on the month of August 1991. It was a great opportunity that I was sent on earth with these great people. In my early age I discovered that I love drawing and painting and pursued with that course and was able to develop these skills, I am a very friendly guy, I love meeting new guys and love to learn from them and share stories with them. I am so much interested in Architecture, Graphics Design and in some other sports like basketball and table tennis even if I am not really that good :D

Why I am a Mormon

I was really active in the church since i was a little boy, My mom would always wake me up on Sunday mornings and ask me to prepare for church, it was funny to remember that i would always tell her that i want to sleep more and that it was so early but she keeps on waking me up until I do what she wants. I was not really sure, I would always murmur, she was my teacher in the class so i do not have any choice but to go to church, she loves to ask me to participate in so many church related activities even speaking assignments on sacrament meetings. I was only compelled to do so without any clue why. Until it became my habit to go to church and enjoyed going to church. I remember that I admired missionaries who visited us always in our house, that time my I know that my Mom and Dad would also want me to serve a mission when the right time comes. Then I said that someday I will serve a mission. I do not have a solid testimony of the truthfulness of the church until I started preparing for a mission, I read the book of Mormon and gained a testimony by praying about it and by sharing the gospel, it was then when i was in the Missionary raining Center that I really felt and received an answer so strong that I could not forget. Our Teacher asked us to pray for the Book of Mormon again and on that night before I went to sleep, me and my district mates knelt down and prayed and asked Heavenly Father about the authenticity and the truthfulness of the Book and on that same time I felt a burning in my bosom and felt God's love and knew that it was true, It was manifested unto me so many times but that time was very different. I gained a stringer testimony and was able to share it with conviction that I know that the Book of Mormon is true and that Joseph Smith is the prophet of restoration and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the Lord Kingdom on earth preparatory for the coming of the Messiah.

How I live my faith

As a member of the this church, it is a great privilege to be able to learn and to be able to share my testimony to others. I live my faith in this Church by actively engaging myself with all the church activities and meetings and also in the work of the Lord. I am serving as a Branch Missionary in the Church, We go out and reach out to others to share and proclaim the Gospel, I have seen so many good things by engaging in the work of salvation and these things have really strengthened my faith and testimony in the Lord. I teach in one of the classes in the church every Sunday and was able to feel the Spirit and to learn so many things.

Are Mormons Christians?

Rod
Yes! Mormons are Christians, we know that Jesus Christ is our Savior and redeemer, He is our King and the finisher of our faith. We as members love to share about Him and most especially live His teachings, . ."We talk of Christ, we rejoice in Christ, we preach of Christ, we prophesy of Christ. . ." 2 Nephi 25:23.
