Hi I'm Ben

I am a medical student. Hablo español. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a medical student and I am fascinated by the sciences. I love movies and books and find it quite fun to quote movie lines. When the weather is nice, I love to go running and play tennis. I am excited to be getting married this June to a wonderful woman whom I love dearly. We will be married in the Temple for time and all eternity. I enjoy working with people from different backgrounds and circumstances. I look forward to being a doctor and see it as being a very fulfilling job.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have felt in my heart that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is true. I know that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. I know that He came to the earth to fulfill the plan of our Heavenly Father. I know that it is only through Christ that we can be saved. He has shown us the way and has restored His gospel to the earth through the prophet Joseph Smith. I know that we are led by a prophet today Thomas S. Monson. I know that my life is blessed each day and will continue to be blessed as I keep the commandments and serve those around me. All these things I know by the Holy Ghost who has borne witness to me in my heart that these things are true. I know that it is true and I know that everyone can know it is true by praying to Heavenly Father and asking sincerely. There is hope and surety in knowing God's plan for me.

How I live my faith

Each day I pray at various times during the day no set number. I read the scriptures the Bible, Book of Mormon, and teachings of the present-day prophets. And I tell others about the gospel. I have a responsibility at church to help the missionaries and to help the members of the ward to talk to their friends about the church. I also have the responsibility to visit five of the members of the ward each month and help them with anything they need and teach a brief gospel lesson.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Jesus Christ has restored His church to the earth in these days. He has given His authority the priesthood to worthy men. He has commanded us to build temples, sacred holy places where we perform ordinances symbolic acts/rituals that have eternal significance. That is where we can go as families to be sealed for time and all eternity. Marriage in the temple is performed for this life and forever after as well. My fiancee and I are going to be married in the temple this summer. In the heavens, after we die one day, we will still be married. Her parents were married in the temple and my parents were married in the temple and they will still be our parents. We will hopefully be parents of children who live righteously also. Everyone on the earth can have this blessing of being with their families forever. Our families and the love we have for them do not end with death. What a marvelous thing. Show more Show less
