Hi I'm Reed

I grew up in Nevada. I now live in Oregon. Married 40 years in 2017.

About Me

Hi, I am Reed, I am a sixth generation Mormon and now there are two after me. My wife and I have three kids, all grown now, and we are now retired and am traveling the world by serving missions.

Why I am a Mormon

First it was because of my great, great, great, grandfather who joined the church in his homeland and then immigrated to the United States. Now it is because of more than 60 years of personal spiritual experiences that have continuously satisfied my needs, be it, spiritual, emotional, or even temporal sometimes. I have had almost all of my great and grand questions answered, and when they haven't been answered I have had a feeling of peace about them that in time the answers would come. The teachings of my father as he taught me the gospel of Jesus Christ gave me purpose and I was able to understand who I really was. I am a son of God, and my Savior is Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

My first mission was as a young man and my assignment was in the state of Michigan in the USA. When my wife and I retired and went on our first mission together it was to Vanuatu, Port Vila. Our second mission we were assigned to Yerevan Armenia. Both places have been wonderful growing experiences for the church and for us. It is hard to explain or tell someone about all the blessing that have come our way from this service. We have been richly blessed, as an eternal companionship and as individuals. I don't think there is a better way for us to serve than through these missions. There is such need in the world.
