Hi I'm Michelle Wallace

I'm a wife and a mom. I'm a teacher. I'm happy. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married to the most wonderful husband in the world for about 6 1/2 years. I have a two year old boy who I love to be home with every day. I taught elementary school for 3 years and I am currently subbing in my school district on occasion. I enjoy reading, teaching, scrapbooking, doing fun crafts with my friends, playing tennis and other sports, enjoying the outdoors, and spending time with my family and friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I want to follow Jesus Christ. Our church, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, is the same church Jesus Christ established when he lived on the earth and I want to be a part of Christ's church. I am a Mormon because I believe that God has a plan for my life and wants me to return to live with Him and be with my family forever. I know that Jesus Christ suffered and died for my sins so that I could be forgiven and have this opportunity. I know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet who restored Christ's church on the earth today and that the Book of Mormon is true and is another testament of Jesus Christ. I know that we have a living prophet today who continues to give us direction from Heavenly Father. I am a Mormon because it is through being a Mormon that I get the most peace, comfort, and joy. I am a Mormon so that I can be sealed in the temple to my husband and family and be with them forever, even after death. I am a Mormon so that I can have the Holy Ghost with me always to lead me, guide me, and comfort me.

How I live my faith

I pray and read the Book of Mormon daily, attend church every week, and visit other women in my ward on a monthly basis to share gospel messages with them, develop friendships, and make sure their needs are being met. I help other members of my church find people who want to learn more about our church and I help support our full-time missionaries in doing the same thing. I also strive each day to follow the example of Jesus Christ, develop the attributes He has, and treat everyone the way He did.

What do Mormons believe is the purpose of life?

Michelle Wallace
God has a plan for our life here on earth. Our purpose is to come to earth to receive a physical body and to learn to choose between good and evil. Our experiences here on earth will help us become more like our Heavenly Father. On earth we also have the opportunity to have family relationships that can last forever. Finally, we are here to have joy. If we follow Heavenly Father's plan we can someday return to live with him and our families and have greater peace and happiness. Show more Show less
