Hi I'm Sanders

I'm a grateful father, an enamored husband, a sports fanatic, and last but definitely not least, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a family man any way you look at it. Whether looking at my relationship with my beautiful wife and rambunctious toddler son, or seeing how much I love my parents and delight in spending time with them and my siblings, it always feels good to be "home", wherever that may be. When not with my family, I pride myself on being a hard worker and a dedicated professional. Working with great people brings me tremendous satisfaction. The corporate retail business is about as stressful as it gets, and I enjoy the challenges inherent in my role as a Business Analyst for a Fortune 200 company. As crazy as things get with work, my home is a dedicated haven of relief where I can spend time with my cherished loved ones. My family and I love spending time together and have an appetite for being on the go and trying new things. Whether that's camping, running, swimming, playing any other sport imaginable, or traveling to new places (our favorite!), it is always fun being with your best friends.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents were not always members of the LDS Church. They were baptized shortly before my birth. Because of their exploration into various religions in search of truth, they always encouraged me to study and pray to find out for myself whether the things they had been teaching me from my infancy were true or not. As a child, I was not particularly moved by the importance of knowing for myself as I was certain my parents would never lead me into error. But, as I grew up it became clear that my parents were fallible. The importance of gaining a personal witness of the truthfulness of the gospel of Jesus Christ as preached in the Bible and Book of Mormon became evident. So, in my mid teens I decided I needed to know for myself. By intently reading in the scriptures and through sincere and determined prayer, I received a witness through God's messenger, the Holy Ghost, of the divine mission of Jesus Christ as my personal Savior and of His love for me. I came to know through the witness of the Holy Spirit that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the Lord's church put again on the Earth, a church again led be revelation from God as given through a living Prophet and twelve Apostles.

How I live my faith

Probably the most important way I live my faith is by striving to live by the teachings of Jesus. There are a lot of commandments out there as found in the scriptures and I try to become better acquainted with those inspired writings so that I may be able to apply their teachings in my life. As I follow Christ's example more fully in my life, I truly have found greater joy and happiness than I ever realized was possible. His life and teachings are the perfect compass and directions for my life. Just as Christ served everyone, I try to serve others. I have done so through assignments in the congregation as a Sunday School teacher, service organizer for young adults, and most recently as an adviser and mentor for the young men of the congregation in Sunday activities as well as Boy Scouts. Helping guide the young men through this difficult and critical time in their lives has been a huge blessing to me and taught me great lessons. More than anything, I try to shadow the Savior's examples in my interactions with others. I can never be perfect, but I try to be patient, humble, loving, and charitable just as He is. Hopefully as I develop and demonstrate those attributes, others will see the love I have for the Savior and will also want to follow His example and experience the true happiness that accompanies it.
