Hi I'm Cory

I'm a salesman. I climb trees with my kids and I juggle. I have a terrific family, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Utah, but have moved about every five years my whole life. My parents were divorced when I was twelve, just before I received the priesthood. I married a beautiful returned missionary, and we have four wonderful children under five. I sell agricultural chemicals all over South Dakota, served a mission in the Czech Republic and graduated from college while cleaning houses and loading trucks for FedEx. I love to read and study languages, but not English. I love the outdoors and developing myself.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the Book of Mormon is true, and because Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ appeared to Joseph Smith. Those two things continually move me to be better and try harder. I don't know everything, but most of my life I have been heavily involved with people of different beliefs, and it has caused me to be continually impressed by the simplicity of the gospel found in the Bible and Book of Mormon. I know that only Heavenly Father could put together a religion that provides the most complete answers to any problem that modern people struggle with. I am a Mormon, because every time I read the Book of Mormon, give a priesthood blessing, read the words of the prophets, or discuss the gospel, the Spirit witnesses that it is good and right.

How I live my faith

I try to always be upbeat, aware of all the blessings in my life. I try to be the person people want to be around when they are sad, or when they are in trouble, because they know they can count on me to help them, and they always leave me feeling better about life. I try to see others the way the Savior sees them. I realize, that even when if I really don't like someone, the Lord was just as willing to give His life to save that person, as He was to save me. I pray and work to find in every person, why the Lord loves him or her so much. I try to teach my children to be self-directing, to understand that they are sons or daughters of God, and can act for themselves. I give them the freedom to choose to do good, and help them to understand and work through consequences, the same way my Father in Heaven works with me.
