Hi I'm Ryan

About Me

Born in Cardston Alberta Canada in 1953. Formative years were traving as dad built churches 18 - 24 months in a location in Alberta, Samoa and the western United states. Settled in Bellevue / Redmond Washington in 7th grade. Grew up working in construction with dad. Interests were music and Pole Vaulting. A mission to So. Cal then BYU and Marriage to my soul mate Cindy for 35 very fast years. Five kids, 6 grandkids and 2 more coming. Built custom homes for about 20 years and for the last 14 years a public speaker and trainer in finacial matters. I have served in many ward, stake and temple callings. Passions include, family, gospel, teaching, Aikido, moddified cars and things with a throttle.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church and was very active. Had a testimony but it had never been tried or required to stand on it's own. Called to serve a 2 year mission, I knew I had to have a confirmed witness of my own in order to proclaim the truthfulness of the restored gospel to the world. I read and studied the Book Of Mormon and I applied the promise of Moroni. I was made very clear to me that it was true and that Joseph Smith was God's prophet to open this dispenstion. That testimony confirmation has been augmented over the years with many experieces which have reconfirmed to my soul that it is true. I know of my self, having had the witness of the Holy Ghost, that God has restored His true gospel in this generation as He promised He would.

How I live my faith

I strive to live my life as a disciple of Jesus Christ. He is my role model, coach, teacher, advocate, Savior and friend. I honor my body by living the word of wisdom and exercising. I wrestle against my temporal nature to purge the dross and refine my core strengths and charactor. I strive to follow promptings and extend help, encouragement and love to all who seem in need. I honor my Priesthod and strive to fulfill the callings that are expended to me.
