Hi I'm Pat

I'm a wife, a mother , a grandmother and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I"ve been married to my best friend for 38 years and have 5 married children and 18 grandchildren. I love to sew, making quilts for my family, work in my garden, and travel. I've always loved learning new things and figuring out how things are done. I've never been afraid of a challenge. I love spending time with my children and grandchildren.

Why I am a Mormon

I always had friends growing up who were mormons, and I liked the way I felt when I was around them.I started going to church with my friends and neighbors and even though I didn't know if I had a testimony of the things it taught, I joined the church when I was 13. The doctrine of the Mormon Church teaches that life is eternal and that families are forever. It gives my life focus and direction. Everything the church teaches helps us to realize our potential as sons and daughters of a living God who knows and loves us. I know we were sent to earth to fulfill our mission and return to our Father in Heaven. None of us are perfect and I know that through the atonement of our Saviour we all have the potential to live with Him again. I love my Heavenly Father and have no doubt that he lives and knows me personally.

How I live my faith

Because I know that I am a daughter of God and that life is eternal I am more aware of the choices I make. I love working with the youth of the church and understand the pressures and decisions they are faced with every day, and so  I try to make sure that everything I do, think or say is in accord with the teachings of our church. I would never want them to see me do or hear me say something that contradicts the beliefs I have. I have had personal experiences that have strenghtened me spiritually, and as I follow Christ's teachings, I'm a much happier person. It's really quite simple we are taught in the scriptures time and time again that when we live the gospel teaching we find happiness and when we don't we have pain and suffering and unhappiness..
