Hi I'm Sean

I'm a dad, a husband, a pilot, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a Father of four beautiful kids and am married to my beautiful wife Michelle. I live in Chubbuck Idaho (next to Pocatello). I work as a charter pilot flying a Cessna Citation (a 7 passenger jet) for a small aviation company based at the Pocatello airport. I travel a lot of different places in the United States and sometimes Canada. I love to see different places and love my job and the experiences that it gives me. I love my country and the miracle that it is, and that I get to see so much of it. I love history particularly the history of the United States. My favorite thing in life is to spend time with my family and do things with them. We love visiting Yellowstone Park and Grand Teton National Park which are very close by. The kids love to swim and I love to take them swimming. It is our dream to buy a little tent trailer and pull it across the country and stay at different places that we haven't been. I also love aviation and I am fascinated by airplanes and all different types of aircraft. Most of all I love the Lord Jesus Christ and feel so very blessed to have his gospel as part of my life. I don't know how I could make it through the challenges of life without this blessing. I love the scriptures and know that we have a living prophet on the earth today who guides the Lords church according to His will. I love the gospel!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I was born into a Mormon family. I feel this to be the greatest gift from my parents and will always be in their debt for this blessing. I love the Lords church and feel it a tremendous blessing to belong to it. It does require some sacrifices, such as keeping the Sabbath Holy, and obeying laws of health, but these really aren't sacrifices as much as many would think. The Lord blesses us for keeping His commandments and I feel blessed when I do. I love the fellowship that being a Mormon affords. I feel like I am part of something bigger than just myself. There is support and help so often. There are so many good people that I get to associate with and learn from. I know if I need help that there are others that will be there to help. Although the fellowship is nice it isn't the main reason I am an active Mormon. I love the Lord Jesus Christ and know that this is His church and kingdom on Earth. Within the church there are wonderful blessings. The Priesthood, or authority from God to act in his name exists to bless us and to help us. Through this I know I can be sealed to my family for eternity and than this life is only part of our eternal life of happiness which God has intended for each one of us. Being a Mormon means so much to me it's difficult to put into words. I love the Savior and the many servants he has called in my time that strive to emulate Him and follow him. We have a living prophet to follow who is guided by the Savior himself! Their is so much and so many blessings that go along with being a Mormon! Temple that are built in almost every part of the world are such a blessing and a central part in the lives of Mormons. In these temples we receive wonderful blessings for ourselves and are able to perform necessary ordinances, such as baptism, for our ancestors. There are so many reasons why I am a Mormon!

How I live my faith

I feel inadequate at times because of my many weaknesses, but I do try to do my best to follow Jesus Christ and the things he has asked me to do. I try to be honest with everyone I know or deal with in any way. I try to help others when needed and try to be kind to everyone. I strive to be a good father, helping my wife and children be the best they can be. I feel that this is the most important job that I can do in life. It's more important than being a good pilot or even a good Mormon although being the best I can in every aspect in my life is part of being a good father and Mormon. I believe in the traditional values of being honest and leading a good, clean life. I know that reading the scriptures and learning the truths of the gospel are so very important in living these truths. Nothing that is worth while is easy or comes easily. Character and integrity are so important and I strive to be a person of integrity, although I fall short in so many areas. I also know that I need to teach my children these same important things. I strive to hold family home evening and to pray and read the scriptures with my family. I also feel that it is my duty as a Mormon to do everything that I can to teach my children what is right and wrong and to help them be successful, and well rounded individuals. It isn't always easy to do these things and being a parent is becoming more and more difficult. It's easy to become discouraged or frustrated with some of the responsibilities that come along with being parents. The Lords church contains so many helps and guidelines in this important responsibility. I am so grateful for these many helps. Ultimately I try to live my faith by having faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and to be obedient to His commands. Because I fall so short in this quest so often I try to have faith in the Atonement of Jesus Christ and try to repent of my wrong doings. I try to love the Lord and follow Him and have faith in Him.
