Hi I'm Mitchell

I'm a soccer player,Im a history buff,Superhero fan,A Missionary In Arizona Phoenix Mission and most importantly I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hello I'm Mitchell Bolton, and I love my Savior! I also like to play soccer and was one of the few members of the church on my team. The values that i have were hard to maintain on a team. It tested my faith and made me be proactive about telling my beliefs. I love Church Hitory too. My Father tells me stories of it all the time and i just soak it in and it feels fantastic. I love History in general and will make it my profession one day. I love to teach and plan on teaching all those that I can in a school setting.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because I love the lord and my Heavenly Father. I have studied the scriptures and found my own anwser on my own. I learned from the stories of my ancestors long ago to trust the lord with all my heart might mind and strength so I can earn his blessings for my self and for my posterity. I was raised in a LDS family and that is were I learned to love and cherish the things that I have and to help others that may be in a worse situation than me.

How I live my faith

I am serving the Lord as a missionary in the Arizona Phoenix Mission. The #1 mission in the world! I have learned on my mission to love the people and love the work. I know my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ love and are proud of what I do. I try and live by Christ example of charity towards others. I have always tried and live the values of the church and work hard so I can be with my family forever.

Why do you have 12 Apostles? They were just meant to be around for the time of Jesus Christ, not to be replaced with new apostles.

Mitchell
the church in the new testament times was to be organized forever in the bible after Judas Iscariot who was one of the twelve killed himself the other eleven immediately went and called another Apostle Matthias. The reason we have Tweleve Apostles is because the lord commanded us to do so. It is the way his church was organized in old times and how it is organized now since God is the same yesterday today and forever. Show more Show less

Why is authority to perform a baptism important?

Mitchell
Authority to baptize is very important. Why did jesus go to John the Baptist to be baptized if authority didn't matter. He could have easily been baptized by any Joe Smoe on the street but even he, the Son of God , knew that authority was important. John the Baptist had such authority and we believe that the authority was lost when the Twelve Apostles were killed. That authority has been restored and now any worthy male at the age of 12 and older can hold that priesthood authority. Show more Show less

What is the First Vision?

Mitchell
The First Vision is the answer to the young boy , Joseph Smith, prayer. He wanted to know what church was right, so he started to read the bible and came across James 1:5, If any of you lack wisdom let him ask of God that giveth to all men liberally and upbraideth not and it shall be given him. Joseph Read that and then took the challenge from James and prayed. He went near a grove of trees near his home and prayed and what he saw started the resotration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He says in his own words " I saw a pillar of Light exactly over my head, above the brightness of the sun, which descended gradually until it fell upon me. When the light rested upon me I saw two personages whose brightness and glory defy all description standing above me in the air one of them spake unto me calling me by name and said 'this is my beloved son hear him' " Joseph Smith saw God the father and his son Jesus Christ and they told him to join none of the churches cause they were all wrong, they had partial truths but not the whole truth. At this wonderful moment in time he helped bring the restoration of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Show more Show less

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Mitchell
Of course a husband and wife and a family can live together forever! it is all part of God's plan he wouldn't let us experience so much joy in our families and then take it away. He wants us to be eternally happy and he wants that happiness to be with our families and with him. Show more Show less
