Hi I'm Trent

I grew up in Idaho. I served the people of Brazil in the Amazon for two years. I love my wife and 2 boys. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I really enjoy playing basketball, watching movies, and spending time with my family. My wife and two boys mean so much to me. I find that the more I spend time on the things that really matter, the happier I am.

Why I am a Mormon

While growing up, all the members in my family attended the Mormon Church. This gave me an early start on learning about the great plan of salvation that our Heavenly Father has for us. As I got older, I took the opportunity to test the promise that if we pray sincerely to our Father, He will answer us. Although the answers to my prayers came in soft subtle ways, I felt the warmth of His Spirit testifying to me of the truth of the path I was on because of following the teachings I was learning about in Church and from reading the scriptures. This is a path that helps me to follow the example of Jesus Christ, to obey God's commandments and to serve others out of love.

How I live my faith

In my neighborhood, I have the opportunity to teach the young men of our faith that are at the age of 12 and 13. They face a lot of challenges today in trying to live by moral standards that many people in the world have disregarded. I enjoy being around them for weekly activities that we organize to encourage them to be involved in service and fun. During the lessons we have, we discuss things that Christ taught and principles of the gospel that will help us to live better lives. Applying Christ's teachings to our lives helps us to have happiness that we can find in no other way.
