Hi I'm Laura

California born and raised. I graduate from college this year. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a 22 year old girl living, working, and everyday learning more than I knew the day before. I love to go on car rides, out to eat, picnics in the park, spontaneous and crazy fun makes me happy. I read for fun when I can, but mainly I read textbooks for class not my favorite, but you do what you have to to get good grades. I want to travel, and to meet other people. I want to live a happy life, and love more than I ever thought I could.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I know what darkness and loneliness feels like, and I know that this church is the only thing that makes all of that go away. It's a religion that helps you get around all the distractions of the world, and get to the really good stuff. Being a Mormon let's you tap into an eternal store of happiness. It's hope... being a Mormon, you know that one mistake or even a string of mistakes doesn't define you -- you can repent, and that's all gone. It's the most amazing thing, to feel clean and to jump right back up and try again. Being a Mormon means having support, from other members, and from your Father in Heaven. Seriously. It took me a long time to realize that He just wants us to ask, and to believe that He'll help us. Being a member of this church touches the deepest parts of your heart, the saddest part of your soul, it encompasses and accepts all of you.

How I live my faith

I have worked with a group of the greatest young hispanic kids, to help them with their homework after school. I have worked with special education classes, every age from preschool to after high school. I'm president of an organization for my major in college, and in such, put together things for the students to network and gain more experience in our field. I like making people smile, and I've found that service and helping out, is a sure-fire way to do that. My goal, is simply to help where I can, when I can.
