Hi I'm Greg

I enjoy hockey. I like super heroes. I'm a dad. I'm a husband. I love the Savior Jesus Christ. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a husband and fairly new dad of a toddler daughter and baby son. I love spending time with my family and exploring the outdoors biking, hiking and camping. I'm a physical therapist by profession and work with everyone from new born babies to older adults. I also like to travel, eat new foods and learn about new cultures and languages. Any free time I have, which was a lot more prior to having kids, I spend playing hockey. My personal relationship with my Father in Heaven, affects every aspect of my life. It plays a large role in how I try to treat people and how I carry myself in life. I have a personal motto, which I wish I was better at "Become the man, the Lord sent me here to become". There is a reason we are here...our job is to prayerfully figure out why.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a 4th generation member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. My great-grandmother & grandpa met the missionaries in Konigsberg, East Prussia after WWI. My grandpa remained strong despite persecution & fear of the new regime in Germany. He was even afraid to tell my grandma about his religion. After several near death experiences during WWII, he promised our Father in Heaven he would raise his family in His church. I am a recipient of his courage & was taught the gospel of Jesus Christ. Prior to serving a mission I needed to find out if this was something I truly believed? I reflected on experiences in my life. I had many childhood illnesses and came from a broken home. My mom remarried a wonderful man, who one year later suffered 24 cardiac arrests & was in a coma 5 weeks. He survived and lost his ability to walk & talk, yet he was determined to be baptized. Growing up with my dad, I learned the Lord knew who I was and he knew who my dad was. The Lord blessed us with the ability to communicate in a spiritual way. Even though he could not speak, he was able to teach me many life changing lessons. The Lord gives us individual experiences to guide our lives & teach us valuable attributes & skills. Without the gospel in my life and the power of prayer, my life would have been a lot different. I learned to rely on the Lord and understood that I had a testimony of His restored church to share with the world. I was called to a new mission in the Baltic States (Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania). On my first day, my mission president told me I would help open the city of Kaliningrad, Russia (modern day Konigsberg, where the gospel was first introduced to my family). My mission is where I began my personal relationship with our Savior Jesus Christ. I see His hand in my life as I seek daily inspiration to raise my children & strengthen my marriage. He still hears & answers prayers. I have a growing testimony of His gospel and His restored church on earth.

How I live my faith

Currently, I have the privilege to serve the young men in my area as a spiritual leader and as an assistant scout master for the 12-13 year olds. I love the opportunity to teach and inspire and be inspired by the fine young men that I work with. They are remarkable and it is very obvious to see the influence of the Jesus Christ in their lives.
