Hi I'm Jessy

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I 28, married and a mom of four step children 13,15,17,18. I am a full time student graduating in May with a degree in graphic arts. I love photography and cooking. I have a cooking blog that uses both of my hobbies D.

Why I am a Mormon

I know this church is true because I've prayed about it and recived comformation from the holy ghost in my heart. By following the gospel my life has been improved so much!

How I live my faith

I plan activities for the women to get together and learn more about the gospel and our divine nature. My family and I have one night a week that we have a small lesson and an activity called family home evening. I love family home evening because it brings us all together at least one night a week no matter what the world throws at us.

What are Mormon church services like? Are visitors allowed at church meetings? Can I attend church?

Jessy
A typical sunday meeting goes like this, As you come into the doors there will probably be someone, if not multiple someones, in the foyer visiting each other and talking. They will say hi and help you find the chapel. In the chapel there are pews, its ok to sit wherever you want in the pews facing the front. There will be an opening prayer and song then some announcments. After that will be the passing of the sacrament. There will be a song and two special prayers then plates of bread and water will be passed to everyone. Its important to stay quiet during this part because people around you might be saying prayers to themselves. Then there will be 2 or 3 people that get up and give talks there might be a song in between. Then there will be a cloing song and prayer. You can always ask someone sitting next to you where to go next or if you have any questions. Show more Show less
