Hi I'm Deborah

I've been married for 28 years and we have 4 grown children. I love to play the piano and take pictures. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I'm 48 years old and for 16 years I stayed home and raised my children. Now for the last nine years I've worked full time in the financial industry. In my spare time I love to learn. My studies of interest include, the scriptures, music and family history. I love to take long walks with my camera and photograph nature. I love to sing. I love to dance with my husband. I've never outgrown sitting on a swing and seeing how high I can go. Raspberries have to be my favorite food. I could eat them at every meal. I've tried my hand at scrap booking, card making, and cake decorating and I'm comfortable saying it's not for me. We're not all meant to be crafty. My son's wii is as close as I get to competitive sports events. I'm ok with that too. If I had a dream it would be to travel through Europe. I would love to rent a cottage and a small car and drive through the country side of Mediterranean Europe. Someday I hope to spend a week in Utah attending several of the Education Emporiums. I love my family, I'm grateful for my friends and I thank the Lord everyday for the blessings He gives me.

Why I am a Mormon

Why? That requires a moment of reflection and thought. I'm a Mormon because I find great peace in the doctrines of this religion. I feel truth burn in my heart when I study the Book of Mormon. The Scriptures testify to me that this church contains all the necessary principles and ordinances necessary to attain eternal salvation and exaltation. This church teaches truth. It exemplifies Christ like love and character. I understand the purpose of life. I understand Heavenly Father's plan for all of us. I feel the Savior's love in my life. I feel the Holy Spirit guiding, directing and protecting me every day. That's why I am a Mormon. No other religion offers and gives to me what this Church does. And nothing on earth could ever begin to replace the wonderful blessings of belonging to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

How I live my faith

I have helped in several community fund raisers. I love to see the smile on other's faces when you serve them. I am currently the Director of the Family History Centre. I love serving in Family History. The joy in the eyes of those who have found a long lost ancestor is wonderful. The opportunity it gives to help those here on earth and those on the other side gives me joy beyond what I can possibly express. There is a joy in service and that is how we show our love to our Father in Heaven. That's one way I live my faith.
