Hi I'm Jonathan.

I was born in England, now an Australian living in Tasmania. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy bush walking, spending time with my family, singing and playing guitar even try yo make up my own songs. I enjoy taking photos and listening to good music.

Why I am a Mormon

As a child I was brought up with a belief and faith in God. I attended St Peter's School a local Church of England church. After moving to Tasmania in Australia when I was eight my mum passed away a year and a half later. My dad remarried and later on when nearly fourteen I joined the Church with my step mum and step brother. This was a great experience. The Missionaries lessons answered my questions about life, death, where we came from and taught me a whole lot more I did not know, like God is Our Father we are his Children, Joseph Smith seeing Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and The Book of Mormon, where Jesus Christ appeared to his people on the American continent. I knew by being baptised I was following the Saviour. I prayed before I was baptised and felt it was the right thing to do, but still I was hesitant about doing so, but was encouraged by step mother and step brother and step sister and was baptised with my step mum and step brother. I have shared the Gospel as a missionary for the church in New Zealand. I loved that and came to know more strongly that the Church is True, the Lord's only True Church, That Joseph Smith did see Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and was led to restore The Saviour's Church, that the Book of Mormon is an another Testament of Jesus Christ, the words of Christ, it has brought me closer to God than any other book and makes me Happier as follow its teaching, and the Bible is the Word of God. I know God speaks to President Thomas S. Monson he is God's Prophet. I love being a member.

How I live my faith

I give service or help to people around me by being friendly. I help in Church currently by conducting music and visiting fellow Latter-Day Saints in their homes which is called home teaching and encourage others to do so. I also teach lessons in church to the adult men group. I show love to my family by spending time and having fun and meals together, I share the Gospel with others and listen to to others and treat them with kindness

Who is the Mormon prophet today?

Jonathan.
President Thomas S. Monson is the prophet today. I have been strengthen greatly by his faith in Christ and inspiring stories and talks. His eample of caring and reaching out to others really inspires me and touches me. A Hymn in the church is called we thanks thee oh God for a Prophet and is what I feel about our prophet.
