Hi I'm Jen

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I began as the oldest of seven children. Now I am also a wife and lucky mother of four. I love interior design, dance and drill team, photographing my family, and adoption.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love the principles and doctrines this church embodies. I was raised in a Mormon home, but chose to find out for myself if I believed the same things my parents did. I read Joseph Smith's history, and asked my parents why they believed. I studied the Book of Mormon and the Bible. Most of all I am a Mormon because when I prayed to know if these things were true, I felt a warm love from my Heavenly Father confirming the validity of my studies and beliefs.

How I live my faith

I go to church every Sunday. At church I meet with the congregation for a little over an hour and then for almost two hours I get to be with the children ages 18 months to 11 years old. I love learning and singing about our Heavenly Father and the scriptures with the children of our congregation. They are so bright! Every Monday, our family holds Family Home Evening; a night set aside to talk about gospel principles and the scriptures in our home, and occasionally it's a night for some crazy family fun. Together we take turns leading the music, giving a lesson, praying, making/serving dessert, and coordinating a family activity. As a family, we live our faith by praying together daily, and studying the scripture stories and messages. We also try to take opportunities to serve others together. I hope to help my children feel the love our Savior has for others by helping them as Jesus would.
