Hi I'm Dan

I am a professional civil engineer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Dan. I am a Civil Engineer. I have worked on large public works projects like the I-90 tunnel in Seattle, Bennett Bay bridge in Idaho, the new Tacoma Narrows bridge in Tacoma, I-15 reconstruction in Utah and now the Alaskan Way Viaduct Replacment in Seattle . I enjoy the out of doors, especially hiking and biking. We have fantastic eight children. Seven are married and have graduated from college - the eighth is enjoying college.

Why I am a Mormon

The gospel of Jesus Christ has been a great foundation for me personally and for our family. Living at a time when the fulness of the Lord's Gospel - including his teachings, ordinances, and continued direction through a living prophet - is a great blessing. It provides knowledge, comfort, purpose and direction for us that is especially important in a world that is increasingly confused and self absorbed.

How I live my faith

I am currently working with the 12 to 18 year old young men in our local ward. We are active in the Boy Scouts of America and recently completed a high adventure back packing trip in the Goat Rocks Wilderness Area. We also work with the young men and their families as they develop their own understanding and testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ and how they will apply it in their lives.
