Hi I'm Larisa

I'm a wife. I'm a maker. I love to cook. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi, I'm Larisa. I am blessed to have a very patient supportive husband. We currently live in a little forgotten apartment while he finishes school and I work and perfect my homemaking skills. I'm a maker, meaning I usually don’t buy things that I could make. I like to read and learn. I have dreams of being a mom, living in foreign countries, and trying new things. I take a ton of pictures. I collect rocks from the places I’ve been. I’m trying to learn French. I like to cook and eat. I play the piano, violin, and I currently am attempting to learn the organ. I graduated from college with a B.S. in Family and Consumer Sciences Education. I work at a pediatric office. I love people. I love learning. I love Jesus Christ and have devoted my life to following him.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because through my faith in Christ I have found happiness and peace. It doesn't matter what is going on in the world around me, or how stressful life is, I find peace in the gospel of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is our Savior, he atoned for the sins of mankind, and for me. Through the prophet Joseph Smith, Christ's Church was restored again to the earth. The same church found in the New Testament, has been restored. God speaks to his children, he has called prophets to lead and guide us, and I believe that we will return to live with him once more. Through my membership in this church I have come to understand my purpose here on earth. I know that God is my eternal Father, that I am his child, and he loves me and will always love me. This knowledge has blessed my life and brings me great happiness even in hard times. There is nothing I want more than to be with God and my family forever, and I believe this is possible. I'm a Mormon because through the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints we can enter into the waters of baptism and covenant with God, and return with those we love to live with him again.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to exemplify what I believe. I try to help others experience the same happiness offered to me through church activity and membership. I spend a little time everyday studying the scriptures and words of God and his prophets. I pray to God and serve his children. I do my best to love all and give where I can. I participate in my congregation and serve where I can. I currently play the organ for our services. I live my faith by standing up for what I believe in and sharing the joy that I have from being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I love my faith and try everyday to live like Jesus Christ would, by loving and serving those around me.
