Hi I'm Chelsea

I grew up in Utah, am a mother of 5 beautiful children, and teach 4th grade part time. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have a wonderful family that I cherish. My husband is very supportive of me and all I try to do, he is my best friend. I have spent the last 18+ years being wife, mother and homemaker. I returned to college a couple years ago to finish my degree. I decided to become a teacher. I graduated last December and now have a job teaching 4th grade. I job share with another teacher where I teach Mondays, Tuesdays and every other Wednesday. The rest of the week is spent taking care of my home and family. This winter I have been teaching ski lessons at one of the local ski resorts to small children. I enjoy this very much. I do this on my days off from teaching. In also try to attend my son's algebra class once a week where I can help where needed. I tutor math when asked to do so and enjoy this too. I enjoy reading and meet with a group of ladies each month to discuss the books we decide to read. The most important aspect in my life is my family. I try to be supportive of my children in helping them with school work and in developing their own talents. I also enjoy date nights with my husband.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it makes sense and feels right. The gospel has been a part of my life since I was born. As a teenager I gained a close relationship with my Savior which gave me confidence that I could accomplish anything I set my mind to as long as it was right with the Lord too. Being a Mormon and learning the teachings of Jesus Christ has helped me have peace and hope throughout my whole life. Even when life's trials have seemed overbearing, I have found complete peace as I have allowed myself to trust the Savior, Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I serve in my church in whatever ways I am asked whether it is to help provide music, teach a lesson, or organize events for the women in our church. I try to notice ways I can serve people. If a name comes to mind I try to make a phone call or a visit to see how that person is doing. I have many people who influence my life every day. I try to write thank you notes often to others who touch my life for good. I try to stay active in the community volunteering my time for community events in the town I live in and at the schools my children attend. The best part of this service is the people I get to know.
