Hi I'm Marlene Katz

Hello! Air Force wife, born and raised in Los Angeles. I am a convert and I am happy to call myself a Mormon!

About Me

I am an Air Force wife, married to my high school sweetheart and we have three amazing children. We currently live in Italy and we are enjoying every minute of this assignment. My busing school is currently on hold due to living overseas. Therefore, I try to stay busy with sub teaching, day trips around italy with the other spouses and my children keep me going (of course).

Why I am a Mormon

I was looking for something beautiful to share with my husband and children. Being a memeber teaches me how to strengthen my family during these hard times and we have made wonderful friends along the way. I couldn't imgaine not being part of this church. Converting was the best decision we ever made.

How I live my faith

I have always been called to the Primary. First started as a Sunbeam, then CTR 1, currently I am a Valiant teacher. Our branch in Italy is very small. Our senior Primary is the class I teach, which consists of 5 strapping boys. It has been an interesting experience attending in another country. Listening to the teachings via translation has been a challenge. Seeing our missionaries work so hard on learning the language. Gave me the testimony of tongue. It taught me that serving in another country is very challenging!

What is being a Mormon like?

Marlene Katz
Being a Mormon, can make you feel different. It all depends on what you focus on. Being a convert, it was hard for some of my friends to accept my choice in religion any new way of living. Being a Mormon has helped me and my family on may, many ways. I learned how to be a mother, a daughter, a wife, a sister, a friend. The best gift I could ever give my children, is the gospel. I wam so glad may husband and I choose to be baptized and become a Mormon family. It has worked for us, and I know it will work for you! Show more Show less
