Hi I'm Wendy

I'm the second youngest of nine. I'm a theatre nerd. I'm a soccer fan. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm grew up with the craziest family with six brothers and two sisters. And I love them! Where ever my family is there will you find me. I am the type of person that always looks forward to learning more. I went to college and graduated in theatre arts. I do just about anythng to be on the front of the stage. Not to mention, I spend every moment I can singing... My life is pretty much a musical. When summer comes I get the soccer ball out to play! I love hanging out with my friends and simply enjoying being around those I care about.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because I know the church is true. I know it is the same church that Christ established when He was on the earth. Because of prayer the church was restored. Because of prayer I came to know that this is His gospel. I know the Book of Mormon is the word of God. Through my trails I have felt the Holy Ghost present to give me comfort and peace. I am mormon becasue I know that I have a savior who suffered and died for me. I know that God loves me because of the family He has given me. And I am a mormon because I know that I am a daughter of God.

How I live my faith

I do everything I can to apply the teachings of the gospel. We show our faith by how we live. Part of how I live my faith at this time is by serving a mission in the Oklahoma Oklahoma City Mission! The greatest commandment we are given is to love God. We do so by keeping His commandments. Over all the commandments teach us how to love one another and in return shows our love for God. In doing so, I strive to serve those around me, especially those I meet everyday in Oklahoma. Either by doing simple acts of kindness, or being a friend. When I discover someone is having a hard time or needs someone to talk to I try to take time for them to give them a shoulder to lean on. I try to do as my Savior did for He set the perfect example. We are all striving, and the Savior taught to hate the sin, but love the sinner.

Mormons believe Jesus Christ is their Savior. Why do we need a Savior?

We could not do anything without a Savior. Jesus Christ suffered pains and afflictions in the garden of Gethsemane, died on the cross, and was then resurrected. We can use the power of the atonement to repent of our sins and be comforted through whatever sorrow we face. Because Christ was resurrected we, too, will all be resurrected, or in other words, living again with a perfected body of flesh and bone. The atonement helps us to live again.  Show more Show less
