Hi I'm Ed

I grew up in North Carolina. I'm a Mormon. My son and I own and operate a golf course.

About Me

I was born and raised in this area. As a child, I lived a couple of houses down from some members of the church. Through their examples and invitations, I became interested in the church and joined at the age of 11. The gospel of Jesus Christ has been a tremendous positive influence in my life. In my adult years, I married in the temple for time and all eternity. What a difference this has made in my life. I love sharing the gospel with others, especially the restoration of the gospel in these the latter days.

Why I am a Mormon

As a youngster, I was confused as many preachers said that if a person did not accept Christ as Savior, they would burn in hell. I asked about people who never heard of Jesus Christ. I was told there was no hope for them. I could not conceive of a Heavenly Father who could allow His children to be treated this way, no fault of their own. What about the Mom and Dad who raised their family the best they could but, never knew about Christ? It was not conceivable to me, that they would not have an opportunity to hear about and accept the gospel of Jesus Christ. What a joy to learn about the truth. To learn that Heavenly Father has a Plan of Salvation that reaches all of His children, was simply awesome. I know that Heavenly Father lives, that Jesus is the Christ and that we can return to Heavenly Father by keeping the commandments and following the example of Jesus Christ. All of us will have the opportunity to hear and accept the gospel of Jesus Christ. I bear my witness that these things are true.

How I live my faith

During my years in the church, I have served in many callings. Each has been a learning experience for me. As we serve others, we grow ourselves. Some of my favorite callings have been working with the youth. My wife and I now serve in our temple on a regular basis. It is very fulfilling to share my testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ with others.
