Hi I'm Ray

I have a great family. I sing, play the guitar, and work for a computer software company. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a married father of six, a grandfather of two, a computer programmer. I love music, especially singing and playing the guitar. I love my family. I love my wife. I love the beach and Disneyland.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised a Mormon. Just before I turned 19 my grandma passed away. It was at that point in my life that I realized that I needed to know if the things I'd been taught were really true. Would I ever see my grandma again? I read the Book of Mormon and received that confirmation from the Holy Ghost that I would see here again because of the atonement and resurrection of Jesus Christ. I decided then and there that I would serve a mission. That one decision has been the turning point in my life. All good things in my life started with that decision. I believe that if I do my best to follow Jesus Christ that I will be with my family forever.

How I live my faith

I'm currently the Cub master for my ward's pack and I teach once a month on Sunday. I do my best to keep my marriage alive and maintain good relationships with my children and others. I pray every day. I just try and do what is expected of me. When I fall short, which we all will, I call upon the Lord to forgive me and help strengthen me.

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

Ray
Jesus Christ is my personal savior and is the focal point of the church. It is through his atonement that all mankind may be saved. Mormons are Christians in every sense of the word. Show more Show less

What are Mormon women like? Do Mormons believe in equality of men and women?

Ray
Women are held in high esteem by every good member of the church. My wife is the strongest person I know. Not physical strength but spiritual, emotional, and in personality. She is my rock. I have not seen a group of women stronger than Mormon women. Women are equal to men in every way and in many ways I consider them superior. Show more Show less
