Hi I'm Jessica

I grew up in Idaho, I have an amazing family, I hope to one day open a school, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am an Idahoan through and through, my favorite memories include motorcycling riding in the desert and camping. Being the oldest child of five is one of my greatest joys. I currently work at a preschool and love it, kids are miracles and our hope that the world can change. I served a mission in Ohio from '09-'10 and I truly loved it and seeing what the knowledge of Jesus Christ and the restoration could do to one's soul as they came to him through this church. I LOVE being Mormon, because it makes me who i am.

Why I am a Mormon

Being Mormon started out because my family was Mormon so I always was a member. But as I have grown that wasn't enough for me. I wanted to be Mormon because I knew it was true. So I prayed, read the scriptures, and put it to the test by living the standards of the Gospel. And I believed more and more it was true. But the solidifying part of my testimony came when I had to use the atonement in my life at a time when nothing else brought me peace or assurance. And the testimony I gained in that time has grown and changed, but that's why I stay mormon.

How I live my faith

I try and be like Christ. My new goal is for one good deed a day, anyway that I can ease someone's burden if even for a moment. Living my faith is more than going to Church it is all about applying the things the church teaches in real life. To do this I try and love my fellow men, I reach out to others in my own church that may be struggling, and I work with the young girls to help them with their talents and to help them grow in testimony. Truly I just try to live what I preach.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

All Mormons are not required to serve a mission, but a prophet of god has said "every member a missionary" which simply means sharing the gospel no matter where you are or your title. Serving a mission is when men 19 or older and all eligible young men are encouraged to go or women 21 and older, or any senior couples can recieve a call to anywhere in the world that allows missionaries to preach the truths they have found out for themselves are true. I served a mission in Ohio, and I felt so many blessings from going out and sharing the gospel to everyone I could! Show more Show less
