Hi I'm Amanda

I'm a dancer, and a wife. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I'm 22 years old, and I'm the 4th oldest of 10 children! I have always loved being a part of a big family! It definitely keeps things interesting I have 3 older sisters, 4 younger sisters, and 2 younger brothers. My parents had 8 biological children, first 7 girls then the baby (now 10 years old) was our only boy. Then almost two years ago they adopted a young teenager from Ukraine, and a little russian girl.I live and breathe dancing! I was a dancer on a company for 6 years, and now I'm teaching! On April 9th, 2011 I married and was sealed for all time and eternity to my amazing husband. My faith grows each day, it gets me through the worst and best moments.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents joined the church when I was very young, around 2 years old. They raised us to love our Heavenly Father, and to be grateful for all that we have. I loved going to church, I looked forward to it every week. When I was in my teens my family became inactive, and because I was young and didn't truly understand the importance of going to church I didn't bother to go myself. It took a few years for me to even think about gong back to church, it took my best friend a very long time to convince me to go. At the time I wasn't hanging out with the best people in the best places, and I didn't realize how unhappy I was until now. My life was fallling apart, and I was losing my family and most of my friends. I wasn't myself, I had let someone else change me and I didn't fight back or try to change back. I didn't allow God to be a part of my life, I thought only I could control how my life would be lived. It broke me to pieces and I hit rock bottom. My best friend never gave up on me, even when I didn't believe in myself. He would call me and always tell me how much my Heavenly Father loved me, and that there is always time to change. In the begining he would drag me to church, we attended a singles branch. I soon saw the difference it made in my life to have the gospel again. I started going back to church almost 3 years ago, and now I have a calling as a primary teacher (4&5 year olds). I can't explain the feeling that i have for the church, and the comfort and happiness I have with the gospel back in my life. I'm so thankful that God loves us so much that even when we stray he is always there to lead us back. It wasn't an easy journey, in fact it was the exact opposite. But I have an amazing friend who never gave up on me, and a very supportive family to hold me up. I'm so thankful that Jesus Christ made the ultimate sacrifice, that our sins may be forgiven and we may be clean and have the blessing of returning back to our Heavenly Father!!

How I live my faith

I currently have a calling as a primary teacher. Primary is the children ages 4 to 11. I have the 4's turning 5, and love being a part of their growth. We go through all the basic lessons of the church, but we put our own twist on it so that they may understand it a little better. There are many moments when I feel like I'm learning more from them then they do from me! They have such humble and kind hearts, I feel like they see the best of us that not even we can see. I try to keep them interested by using small crafts, or stories, or videos. Of course all partaining something about the lesson!
