Hi I'm Valerie

I am a mother of two beautiful girls. I love to be creative in everything I do. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love learning. Sometimes, it takes me a while to comprehend things so I like to learn and re-learn. I began my professional career as a nurse. While in nursing school and throughout my first years as an RN, I married my wonderful husband and we had three children. I am currently a stay at home mom who loves to spend time with my family. I have one child with physical challenges. My greatest desire here on earth is to see all my children grow up to reach their full potential and have opportunities for success physically, mentally and spiritually.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that God lives and the only way I can be with him again is by recognizing what truth is and following it. He loves me unconditionally and wants me to return to his presence. I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the truth. The gospel of Jesus Christ guides me to what I need to do here on earth to align my will in life with Heavenly Father's will for me. I know that He knows better than I do about what I need to do and where I am going. I know that He sees the bigger picture of life and life after death. Whereas I see here and now. I learn and prepare the best I can for the future, but it is only through Him, and His teachings that I know without a shadow of a doubt what my future will be if I choose to follow Him.

How I live my faith

I love giving service. As part of my duties to contribute to the church, I organize service projects for the church members to participate in. Most of the service projects I have organized have benefited people in our own community. Another service that I love to participate in is visiting teaching. I have the opportunity to visit with 3 women in my ward each month to share a gospel message. I really enjoy this because it gives me the opportunity to make new friends. I learn so much from just visiting with others. Some of my most dear friends are those whom I have been assigned to visit teach.
