Hi I'm Rachel

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the second oldest of five. I have four sisters and one brother. Lucky him! I'm also the luckiest aunt to an adorable five-year-old little girl. I am currently away from home, attending college. I love studying English and am currently working as a writing tutor for my school. Also, I have spent some time studying the Spanish language and culture. I have a great love for it, and I hope to someday travel to some of the countries I've learned about. I love music, Disneyland, the beach, serving others, and my family.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents raised me in the church however, I came to know for myself that what they had taught me was true through my study of the scriptures. While I was studying the New Testament, which tells of the life of our Savior, I recieved a witness that He truly lives. I know that because he paid the price for our sins, if we are faithful, each one of us can return to live with our Father in Heaven someday. This knowledge gives me peace and assurance in my life.

How I live my faith

I have been blessed with the calling to be one of four women who watch over and look out for the rest of the women in our ward. Through this calling, I have been privelleged to recieve promptings from the Holy Ghost, who speaks to our minds and hearts. The Holy Ghost is a member of the Godhead, and as such, is able to communicate to us what our Heavenly Father would have us know. Heavenly Father is aware of us and knows our needs. Because of this, He has made me aware of the things He would have me know about the women I am serving. It has been a special experience to be an instrument in the hands of my Heavenly Father while serving the women of my ward.

What is faith?

Rachel
Faith is believing in things which cannot be seen or touched. It is having hope and confidence that things will work out for the best. It is trusting in the Lord with all of your heart, and believing in His plan for us.  Show more Show less
