Hi I'm Jake Webb

I'm a rock n' roller, a friend, and a Mormon.

About Me

I love sports, playing with my dog, and plain 'ol adventuring the outdoors. But most of all, I love music! I spend a lot of time writing my own music on guitar and playing along to tunes. I play guitar, bass, piano, drums, I sing, and I'll take a shot at anything else.

Why I am a Mormon

I know from experience that the gospel is the thing that will make me happy when I'm sad. The gospel is happiness.

How I live my faith

All my strength comes from the Lord. I need to pray and read my scriptures every day to be happy. I need to live His teachings because He gives me everything. I also need to be happy and spend time doing other things like playing my music.

Who is the Mormon prophet today?

Jake Webb
We do have a prophet that leads and guides the church today! His name is Thomas S. Monson and he knows the Lord and loves Him just like us! God never changes, He is firm and unchangable, and this is why I know that we need prophets. Christ's followers in the scriptures needed a prophet as a mediator, or God's mouth piece which is what we call our prophet, and God doesn't change. Now that the gospel is back on Earth, God wants us to have a prophet because He loves us just as much as He loves His children that have gone before us! Show more Show less

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

Jake Webb
Imagine that you have a valuable piece of gold. It's worth a lot so you want to protect it but you lose it! You search everywhere for it you flip your house upside down. When you finally find it it's covered in filth! Cat hair, dust, gum and icky, gross stuff but you clean it! And even while it's dirty it's just as valuable! And after you clean it, it's shiny and beautiful again. But only you could do this because it was your gold, you wanted to clean it, and you had the power to do so. Well, we are all Jesus' gold! Why is it important for us to take care of our bodies? Why are our bodies called temples of God in the Bible?

Jake Webb
My mom always taught me to not write on my body and I have learned to love that teaching because God has made our bodies and He has made us beautiful. I love to respect my body, it makes me feel comfortable. I also think of how my body will be clean in Heaven and how I should keep it that way now. Show more Show less
