Hi I'm Sam

I grew up in Texas. I love science and engineering. And I'm a Mormon

About Me

I love playing sports, especially basketball, ultimate frisbee, and more recently disc golf. I served a proselyting mission in Lubbock Texas from 2009 to 2011, and loved it! I am studying mechanical engineering at Utah State University. And the more I learn about science the more I believe in and love God.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I did exactly what they taught me to do in Sunday School growing up. And that is by taking what I heard and was taught to God. And then asking Him if those thing were in deed of Him or of man. More specifically I read and pondered the evidence of what is referred to as the restoration of the fullness of the gospel of Jesus Christ, which is The Book of Mormon. And I know that when I prayed and asked my Heavenly Father if that Book was true, I felt the Holy Spirit confirm to me that they were.

How I live my faith

I try to do as The Lord said in the New Testament, and love everyone. It's not always easy, but I know that the happiest, most peaceful, and confident I have ever been has been when I am doing my best to first love The Lord, and then love my neighbor as myself. And I know I don't have to walk up to everyone and tell them how to live their lives or what to believe, but I can share my beliefs by the way I live.
