Hi I'm Karen

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a full-time Mom with three adopted African American children, Bailey, Zach and Braxton. My husband Brett and I waited for nine years before we became parents! Before having children I was a Mortgage Loan processor. I received my Associates of Science Degree from Weber State University. I love to play on the computer, to read historical fiction and science fiction, to go out to eat, and to travel. One fun thing about me is that I am trying to learn the piano with my daughter.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a convert to the Church. I grew up going to the Methodist Church. My father was in the military and he ended up retiring in Utah. My school friends would bear their testimony occasionally to me. While attending college my Best Friend gave me an open invitation to go to Church with her. At the same time, I was reading the New Testament trying to find my own faith. As I read the New Testament all of the things my friends had told me were ringing true. I took the Missionary Discussions and read the History of Joseph Smith and knew I HAD to join the Church! I have had so much peace and joy since my Baptism! Truely knowing my Savior and the Plan of Salvation is everything to me!

How I live my faith

I am currently serving in the Church's Women's organization as a Secretary. I help with Bulletins announcing activities and service opportunities and produce a directory of the Women with contact information. In the past, I have taught nursery children and teenagers the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I am also a Visiting Teacher.
