Hi I'm Trevor
I am currently serving as a missionary for the Church for the next two years in British Columbia, Canada. I was raised in Atlanta, Georgia. I have an older sister and brother and a younger sister and brother. After graduating high school I went across the country for university. Upon completing my freshman year, I was called to serve in Canada. I LOVE sports, watching and playing, especially college football and major league baseball. Go Braves.
Why I am a Mormon
Because God told me it was His church. I have read the Book of Mormon and prayed about it. I know that it is true by the power of the Holy Ghost. By doing so, I also know that Joseph Smith was His prophet, called to restore His gospel here on the earth today. I have also seen the blessings that come into my life and others lives through obedience to the Gospel of Jesus Christ and obedience to God's commandments. I love my Savior and my Father in Heaven and I trust them.
Please explain the part prayer plays in your life?
Prayer is a huge part of my life. The Lord has commanded us that we need to pray frequently and sincerely. Praying is an outlet for me to just talk with my Father in Heaven and to let go of whatever is bothering me. I love to counsel with God and receive His guidance in my life. Whatever the decision, I know that He hears my prayers and can help me. Sincere prayer takes work. The more effort I put into my prayers, the more comfort and direction I feel from my Father in Heaven. I often feel answers through the feelings that I get and also through the thoughts that come to my mind as I pray about specific problems, challenges, or decisions.
How I live my faith
Right now I am very active in my faith as a full-time missionary. I get up every morning at 630, begin studying at 8 for two hours, and then go out and spend all day sharing and teaching the Gospel with people. This is my schedule everyday for two years. I have never been happier.
