Hi I'm Trevor

I grew up in Atlanta, Georgia. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently serving as a missionary for the Church for the next two years in British Columbia, Canada. I was raised in Atlanta, Georgia. I have an older sister and brother and a younger sister and brother. After graduating high school I went across the country for university. Upon completing my freshman year, I was called to serve in Canada. I LOVE sports, watching and playing, especially college football and major league baseball. Go Braves.

Why I am a Mormon

Because God told me it was His church. I have read the Book of Mormon and prayed about it. I know that it is true by the power of the Holy Ghost. By doing so, I also know that Joseph Smith was His prophet, called to restore His gospel here on the earth today. I have also seen the blessings that come into my life and others lives through obedience to the Gospel of Jesus Christ and obedience to God's commandments. I love my Savior and my Father in Heaven and I trust them.

How I live my faith

Right now I am very active in my faith as a full-time missionary. I get up every morning at 630, begin studying at 8 for two hours, and then go out and spend all day sharing and teaching the Gospel with people. This is my schedule everyday for two years. I have never been happier.

What does Mormonism teach regarding baptism?

Baptism is essential. "Verily, Verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God." John 35. The Bible teaches this clearly. The Book of Mormon, in harmony with the Bible, also teaches us that baptism is essential. "Now this is the commandment Repent all ye ends of the earth, and come unto me and be baptized in my name, that ye may be sanctified by the reception of the Holy Ghost, that ye may stand spotless before me at the last day." 3 Nephi 2720. No unclean thing can dwell in the presence of God. Baptism is essential to having our sins remitted. Therefore, no one can enter into the kingdom of God without being baptized, another reason we proselyte.   Show more Show less

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

I proselyte because I want to build other's faith in the Savior, Jesus Christ. It is only through Jesus Christ that we can be saved and the only true happiness and joy that we will ever receive is by obedience to His laws. The Savior Himself commanded us to preach the Gospel to everyone.   Show more Show less
