Hi I'm Anna!

I'm a creator, an adventurer, and a teacher. I love nature, stories, and connecting. And I'm so happy to say, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love this world! I wake up and walk each morning breathing in crisp cool air and gazing up in wonder at snow-tipped mountains set against a clear blue sky. And that makes me happy. I love colors and music and stillness and dancing and bare feet and dear friends and laughing so hard you cry. The sound of water brings me peace and getting out into nature is my therapy. I am passionate about listening to and telling stories. I'm the eldest daughter of loving, hard-working, and supportive parents. I have three siblings that I love dearly. My family is one of the most important things to me. We have been through hard times and we know that those times have brought us closer to each other and to our Heavenly Parents and Savior. I am focusing right now on working with people with autism using theatre and the arts, and just finished producing and performing in a short film project called Women of Faith. I am grateful to serve in my ward as a Family History Consultant and know that angels are real.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I know connection is real. I know that there is more to life than just this world. Someone else created it, us, and that someone is our Father in Heaven and Savior, Jesus Christ. I know They are real because I feel Their love. We came from somewhere before this world and we are going somewhere after. As I am hiking and experience the majestic beauty of this earth, the overwhelming awe and connection I feel comes from Them. Conversely, when I am feeling overwhelmingly alone and afraid, They are there to comfort me and wrap Their arms around me. When I do my family history and take their names to the temple, I feel connected to my ancestors and know that they are real. I choose my Heavenly Father and I choose my Savior Jesus Christ, and I know They always choose me. I choose joy and love and to believe in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because the peace and joy that comes when I do that is something that I cannot find anywhere else.

How I live my faith

Every day I strive to build the Kingdom of God. I'm not always perfect and I know that that is okay. Personal revelation is how my life is governed. When I follow the promptings whispered to me about how to live my life, all things work out for my good and the good of those around me. Things are not always easy, but I am grateful for the opposition. It helps me more fully understand and appreciate peace and joy. I seek to understand my role as a Daughter of God, and know that as I do so I will more fully come to understand and love my Heavenly Parents, myself, and others. I do this through studying the scriptures and words of living prophets, journaling, asking questions, praying and communing, and serving in my church calling.
