Hi I'm Kelly

I have a Masters Degree and a full-time job. I have no children. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am so lucky to live in Southern California with my husband. I love to read, I go running most days, and I especially LOVE to bake and bring treats to work with me! I work for the Military and have a Masters Degree in Public Health, Health Promotion. I currently work in the field of HIV disease prevention worldwide and I love it! Through my work I have been able to travel to Africa, and would love to travel more if I could. I do not have any children, but hope to have them someday!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a different faith, and attended parochial school from Kindergarten until 8th grade. My family fell away from our faith after my parents got divorced. After college, I met a group of friends through my work who were all Mormon. At first I thought I would never want to live this lifestyle with all of the "rules", but I was given a challenge to read the Book of Mormon. After reading it cover to cover I knew that it is true doctrine! I became a Mormon in September of 2005 and have lived an incredibly rich and fulfilling life since! I thought I would be giving up lots of things that made me who I was as a person. Turns out that I have been able to learn more and more about who I REALLY am as a person through the gospel of Jesus Christ, feeling the love of Heavenly Father and Christ, and being able to have the Holy Ghost in my life. I have experienced things that help me know that I have been blessed through my connection with the Mormon church and I could not be happier or love this new life I have been given any more!

How I live my faith

I work with the youth in our Ward, and LOVE IT! I feel that I practice my faith through attempting to be an example to those around me, and showing those at my work, school, and in my everyday life how much love can be in the world. I do my best to practice everyday kindness, and truly believe in that as a way of life.
