Hi I'm Mark

I'm an author. I love folk music, botany, and the ocean. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I recently received my English Degree and am planning on pursuing a career in public service. I am also a writer and am currently working on a few different books. In my free time, I love to play guitar, landscape, and play sports, especially basketball and volleyball.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a firm seeker of truth. I have found that the empowerment to receive truth comes from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I know that God has authorized its leaders and members to dispense this truth to the earth. It is a place where I have been able to come to a knowledge of the role of Jesus Christ in my life, as well as my personal relationship with God the Father. It has provided me with an unshakable foundation of happiness and optimism in this world of confusion and tragedy. I know that it can do the same for any who honestly seek it. I know these things are true through the urgings of the Holy Spirit. They are not elusive feelings. On the contrary, they radiate throughout my entire soul. They are manifested so plainly and clearly that I could not call myself an honest person if I denied them.

How I live my faith

I help to lead the local single men ages 18 to 30. I do my best to assist in bringing them closer to Jesus Christ and look for opportunities to serve them and get to know them. I also lead a group of about 10 men and women ages 18 to 30 who meet on Monday night for fun and games and spiritual nourishment. At all times, I strive to be a friend to all, and to treat everyone as a fellow child of God.
