Hi I'm Elizabeth

I was born and raised in Utah but Have found my home on the East coast. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a happy, arts oriented Mommy of three beautiful girls. I go to school full time and run a very part-time business. I love spending time outdoors with my family and enjoy making new friends as well as just about any visual art, but especially sculpture.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born to two parents that were members and was baptized when I was 8. I did my best to keep all of the rules and do what I thought was right. It was not until I was 13, however, that I recieved my own testimony of My Heavanly Father, Jesus Christ, The Holy Ghost and the truthfulness of this gosple. I was babysitting for a friend and had put most of the children to bed for the night. The only one still awake was the baby who was only a few months old. He was crying a lot, and I tried everything that I knew to do to get him to sleep. I walked with him, sang to him, bounced him, changed him, burped him, fed him, and still he cried. I put him in his swing and let him cry until I got very frustrated. I did then what I should have done before, I prayed. I asked Heavanly Father to help the baby be able to fall asleep and as I ended in the name of Jesus Christ, The baby fell silent. He was sound asleep. I felt the Holy Ghost and the love of my Heavanly Father and Jesus Christ so strongly then that whenever I have doubts, I just think of that time and I feel as I did then.

How I live my faith

I believe that "faith without works is dead." I do not think that that means I need to do all that Christ or his desciples did, but I do need to do my best to serve others and show Christ that I love him by Feeding His Sheep. I do my best in my own small family to teach my girls that they are beautiful, strong daughters of God, and that he loves them. I do my best to support my husband when he is feeling down or struggles and I do my best to read the scriptures and serve others to help my testimony to grow.

What is the Word of Wisdom that Mormons talk about?

Elizabeth
I believe that my body is a gift from God and if I want God's spirit to be with me I should take good care of it so I try to eat healthy and get enough sleepthough these things can be difficult with small children around. Heeheehee I do not partake in drugs or smoking or other activities that could harm my body. Show more Show less
