Hi I'm Jerry

Hi I have spent most of my life between Kansas and Colorado. I am a Mormon!

About Me

I was baptized when I was 9 in a small branch in Iola, Ks. I think there were 13 or so people when I joined. My family move to Colorado and fell into inactivity. Over the next several years and faithful home teachers, I again found my way back into the church. I became truly converted at the age of 19 and have cherished my membership since that day .

Why I am a Mormon

After being in active for 11 years we moved back to Kansas and through the efforts of faithful missionary couple i was invited to attend and did. The warmth of the people in this small branch made me feel at home. It wasn't until a year later or so that I truly became converted. I was attending a singles conference and when the speaker said these words "I know that God lives and so does His Son" I felt the spirit so strong that I knew at that point the truthfulness of the gospel.

How I live my faith

I have continued to live my life in such a way that my Heavenly Father will know that I have a desire to be with him again some day. Now I am not perfect, I have to repent daily, but I am trying. I have to we have 7 children between us with grandchildren 11 and 12 on the way. I want them to hopefully understand how I feel about the Gospel.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

As for me, there were several things. First it was to read and study the Book of Mormon. Then take Moroni's challenge at the end and pray sincerely from the heart the the book was true. Then i continued to keep myself involved in activities with other members and to gain further knowledge and inspiration from their testimonies. This in turn helped me to strengthen my own testimony. There is no greater feeling than when the Holy Ghost testifies that it is true! Show more Show less
