Hi I'm Dennis

At the age of 25 I became a member. After 40 years, it is still the answer to my search for happiness. I am a Mormon.

About Me

We are the parents of 11 children, the grandparents of 36, and the great-grandparents of 4. I have a bachlor's in engineering and a master's in business. We started an advertizing business in 1980 and bought a manufacturing business in 1988. After terminating these, we started another manufacturing company in 1993 and a marketing firm in 2005. Both of these businesses are doing well. Although it is getting time to retire, I spend my time developing new products, and my wife monitors the family around the country.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was 25 I was working with a member of the church. He told me about the church and its beliefs. It was interesting, but I did not believe it. He invited me to ask God. I did. In a very personal way I came to know that God does live, and that this is His church. It was very startling, but very exciting. I had found the answers that I needed to live a good life.

How I live my faith

Everyday I get up and read the scriptures and pray to my Heavenly Father for support and guidance for my family, the Church, my businesses and my country. Then I go about my day doing the best that I can I try to build, to build a better product, to build up people to do and be their best. In a small way, I try to do what Jesus would want me to do to serve my brothers and sisters.

What do Mormons believe is the purpose of life?

Although there may be a longer doctrinal answer, for me it is simple - to become like our Heavenly Parents and live with them and our own families forever with a fulness of joy.  Show more Show less
